RTT® — What Happens in a Session

What RTT® actually is

RTT® — Rapid Transformational Therapy — was developed by Marisa Peer and combines hypnotherapy, neuroscience and cognitive techniques to work directly with the subconscious mind.

It is not talk therapy. It is not coaching. It is a guided process that takes you into a deeply relaxed state — similar to the feeling just before sleep — where the subconscious mind becomes accessible and open to change.

In that state, we go to the root. Not to the surface behaviour, not to the story you’ve told yourself about it — but to the original moment, belief or experience where the pattern was formed. We examine it. We update it. And we leave it there — changed.

What happens, step by step

Before the session:
You complete a detailed intake form and we have a 60-minute discovery call together. By the time the session begins, I know exactly what we’re working on and you know exactly what to expect.

The session — up to 2 hours:

We begin with 10-15 minutes of conversation to settle you in and confirm the focus. Then I guide you into hypnosis — a deeply relaxed, receptive state. You are not asleep. You are not unconscious. You are aware, able to speak, and completely in control throughout. You can open your eyes and end the session at any point. 

In this state, your conscious mind — the part that analyses, judges and defends — quiets down. What becomes accessible is the subconscious — where your beliefs, emotional responses and patterns actually live. 

We use regression to go back to significant moments — often in childhood — that formed the beliefs driving your current patterns. This is not about reliving or re-traumatising. It is about witnessing, understanding and reinterpreting those moments with the clarity and perspective of the adult you are now.

Most men are surprised by what surfaces. The mind goes to exactly where it needs to go. 

Then we will use together different techniques to reframe the meanings formed and install new ones that are supportive and aligned.

We close with a powerful transformation — updating the belief, installing a new understanding, and sealing the work.

The final 10 minutes are for integration — returning fully to the present, grounding, and clarity on what shifted. 

After the session:

Within 24 hours you receive your personalised audio recording — built specifically around what came up in your session. You listen to it daily for 30 days. You also receive three tailored daily actions and weekly check-in support for the full 30 days.

What you might experience during the session

Every man’s experience is different. Some common experiences:

  • A deep physical relaxation — heavier than normal rest
  • Vivid memories or images arising spontaneously, during regression
  • Emotions surfacing — sometimes unexpected ones
  • A sense of clarity or understanding arriving suddenly
  • Physical sensations — warmth, tingling, heaviness lifting
  • Occasionally — nothing dramatic at all, just a quiet shift

All of these are valid. The session works regardless of how dramatic or subtle the experience feels in the moment.

What to expect in the days after

The 30 days after the session are as important as the session itself. Changes often continue to unfold — in how you think, how you react, how you sleep, how you show up.

Some men notice the shift immediately. Others notice it gradually — when they realise they didn’t react the way they used to, or that the thought that used to dominate simply isn’t there anymore.

The recording anchors the work. Listen to it every day. Without exception.

Working with the subconscious

Unlike traditional talking approaches, RTT works with the subconscious mind, where many beliefs and responses are stored.

In a relaxed state, we explore:

  • ✦ where patterns come from
  • ✦ how they were formed
  • ✦ what meaning was created at the time

From there, we begin to reframe and update those patterns in a way that supports you now.

This creates a shift that is not only understood, but felt.

A note on how many sessions you might need

RTT® is designed to create significant change in one session. And for many men, one session is enough — the shift is clear, lasting, and continues to develop through the 30-day integration.

But not always.

Some patterns are layered — formed across multiple experiences, or deeply embedded over many years. Some men find that one session clears the primary root, and a second session goes deeper into what was underneath it. Some situations — complex trauma, long-standing addiction, deeply held shame — benefit from more than one round of work.

I will always be honest with you about this. If after your session and 30-day integration I believe further work would serve you, I will say so directly. I will never suggest more sessions as a default or to extend the relationship unnecessarily.

What I can tell you is this: one session will always move something. Whether that’s everything you need, or the beginning of something deeper — you’ll know after the 30 days.

The RTT® Deep Work Programme is one session plus 30 days of structured support. If further sessions are needed, we discuss that together at day 30.

The RTT® Deep Work Programme

This is not a single session. It’s a structured three-stage programme designed to create change that actually sticks.

Stage 1- Preparation

After booking you’ll complete a short intake form. Once confirmed, I’ll send you a detailed questionnaire within 2 hours — this is where you start to get honest with yourself about what’s actually going on.

We then have a 60-minute discovery call together. We go through your answers, I ask more questions, we clarify exactly what we’re working on. This isn’t small talk — it’s the foundation of the session. By the end of it you’ll already have more clarity than you expected.

Stage 2 – The Session
We begin with 10-15 minutes to ease in and make sure you’re grounded and ready. The main session runs up to 2 hours — you’ll be in a deeply relaxed state, aware and in control throughout, while we go directly to the root of what’s been driving the pattern. Most men find this part nothing like they expected. We close with 10 minutes of integration and clarity on what came up.

Stage 3 – 21 days of integration

This is where most programmes stop. This is where ours begins.

Within 24 hours of your session you receive:

  • Your personalised audio recording — built around exactly what came up in your session. You listen to it daily for 21 days. Non-negotiable. This is what anchors the shift.
  • Your 3 tailored actions — specific goals identified during your session, designed to bridge the inner work into your actual daily life. Some daily, some weekly.
  • Weekly check-in emails — real accountability, not automated noise. I check in, you report back.
  • A final review at day 21 — we look at what shifted, what’s still moving, and what you want to do next.

This is 21 days of structured support after the session. Not a recording and a wave goodbye.

A note on what this is

RTT® works with the subconscious mind — the part of you that formed your earliest beliefs about yourself and the world. This is not spiritual work. It is psychological work, grounded in neuroscience and decades of clinical practice.

What it requires from you is honesty and participation. The depth of the shift is directly proportional to how honestly you show up.

Questions you probably have

No. You are in a deeply relaxed state — not asleep, not unconscious. You are aware, able to speak, and in full control throughout. You can open your eyes and end the session at any point.

No. We go at your pace. That said, the more honest you are in the process, the more effective the work. The discovery call exists partly so you can decide whether you trust the space before we go deep.

Therapy typically works at the conscious level — talking through experiences over weeks or months. RTT® works directly with the subconscious, where the pattern actually lives. Most men notice a shift after one session that they haven’t been able to create in years of talking about it.

I won’t promise you a specific outcome — that would be dishonest. What I can tell you is that your openness and participation are the biggest factors in how much shifts. Men who show up honestly and complete the 21-day integration consistently see meaningful change.


It happens. Sometimes what surfaces in a session isn’t what you thought you came to work on — it’s what was actually underneath it. I hold the space for whatever comes up. Nothing that surfaces will be judged or used against you.
